Dr Qiang Zhang

Chief Physician, Professor, and Master’s Supervisor. Dr. Zhang Qiang is the Founding and Honorary Lifetime President, China Physician Group Alliance; Dean of the Sizjun Venous Disease Institute; Chair of the Venous Disease Committee, China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics. He also serves as a member of the Population, Medicine and Health Committee of the Central Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA), Executive Director of the Health Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CDNCA, recipient of the May Fourth Youth Medal, and “Health China” Person of the Year. He is a Visiting Professor for China’s first EMBA program in Healthcare Management and at the Sino-Dutch International Business Administration Institute.
Dr. Zhang previously led the establishment of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH), affiliated with the Zhejiang University School of Medicine, the Hangzhou Vascular Surgery Center, and the Vascular Surgery Department at Shanghai East Hospital Affiliated To Tongji University. In December 2012, Dr. Zhang left the public system to form a specialized venous disease team. On July 1, 2014, he founded Dr. Smile Medical Group, pioneering the physician-group model in China.
